Delft Christmaswalk
Delft’s city center is the perfect setting for the one and only Delft Christmas Walk in December. And what better place to start this walk than at The Christmas Shop on Voldersgracht? Here, you can browse around beforehand and get into the Christmas spirit. Our guide will pick you up from there. During the walk, they’ll share wonderful Delft stories about the city, Christmas in Delft, and the now-popular Delft Verlicht festival.
Along the way, we’ll make sure it’s not just the guide’s jaws that are shaking, because… we’re going to taste the oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts). Will they be as delicious this year?
Halfway through the walk, we’ll visit the Stadskaarsenmakerij Delft (City Candle Maker Delft), because candles are a Christmas tradition. Here, we’ll learn all about candle making and the history of candlemaking in Delft. Of course, there’s also time to browse the shop and perhaps buy a Christmas present (for yourself).
New in Delft is Koekjesbakkerij De Glimlach (Cookie Bakery De Glimlach). We’ll pay a short visit to owners Marc and Mariska. Cookies shaped like Christmas trees, Christmas meringue, and of course, Christmas wreaths are freshly baked. The whole bakery (and the street) smells wonderful. We’ll get to taste them and ask all our questions.
Christmas is all about chocolate, right? At Chocolaad Van der Burgh, owner Richard will tell us all about his work, his chocolate bars, and of course, we’ll also sample the delicious bonbons. What a treat! Did you know that Royal Dutch Airline KLM has been spoiling its passengers with Van der Burgh chocolate since 2012?
At the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church) and Oude Kerk (Old Church), we’ll reflect on Delft’s religious heritage. It’s no wonder the city was called the city of “devotion and commerce.” The guide will explain why.
The walk concludes at the Stads-Koffyhuis (City Coffee House), where you can relax and enjoy the warmth of the walk. Will you choose a hot chocolate or a glass of mulled wine?

Good to know:
- The Delft Christmas Walk costs €15.00 per person.
- You can register individually or as a group.
- Also a fun activity with kids.
- The Delft Christmas Walk will proceed if at least 6 participants have registered, single reservations are welcome.
- Cookie Bakery De Glimlach will not be visited on Sundays.

Kerstverlichting in Delft en de gezelligheid van een begeleide wandeling door Delft met onze gids Frans. De start in de kaarsenmakerij, met een gepassioneerde eigenaar die zijn en het verhaal over de zaak verteld.
Onder het genot van een oliebol van De bakker “De Diamanten Ring” kregen we geweldige historische verhalen te horen over Delft.
Natuurlijk ook een bezoek aan de Kerstwinkel(geheel jaar open) waar natuurlijk kerstballen zijn gekocht.
En als afsluiter een glühwein of chocomelk bij “De delf”
Bedankt Frans voor een kijkje in de historie van Delft.
Zeer aan te bevelen ketstwandeling. Veel gehoord over Delft en de geschiedenis. De gids Toni kon boeiend en leuk vertellen. De extra’s in de wandeling, oliebol, kaarsenmakerij en glühwein achteraf, maakte het tot een compleet en gezellig event in de mooie verlichte stad Delft
Was een zeer geslaagde wandeling met goede info over Delft Leuk om ook wat te zien over het ambacht werk zoals de ️ makerij.

Een fijne, gezellige kerst/ stadswandeling, vooral in t donker met alle lichtjes.

De oliebol was heerlijk, veel opgestoken over de kaarsenmakerij. Ook de kerstcadeau winkel is nog eens een bezoekje waard.
Onder het genot van een glas gluhwein na afloop met de andere wandelaars alles over deze mooie stad nog doorgesproken.
Een leuke middag.
Delft is schitterend, dit hebben wij ook aan onze Brabantse vrienden kunnen laten zien door deze kerstwandeling. In deze donkere dagen is Delft extra verlicht en dst geeft een sprookjesachtig gevoel. Ze hebben een nog beter beeld gekregen van onze mooie stad.
Gids Toni heeft mooie verhalen verteld, sommige daarvan wist ik zelfs ook niet, als Delvenaar. Dank je wel voor deze mooie ervaring, de heerlijke oliebol ende gluwein/ chocomelk, ook namens onze vrienden
De gezelligheid van Delft overdag kennen wij wel. Deze wandeling maakte dat wij ook genoten van een donker / verlicht Delft en wat opstaken over de geschiedenis van Delft, het was echt heel leuk, goed geregeld en de oliebol onderweg en de fijne ontvangst voor een warme drank na afloop, top!
Leuke en informatieve kerstwandeling door het prachtige en sfeervolle Delft. Gids Toni wist een hoop te vertellen. Onderweg een oliebol bij de stadsbakkerij en na afloop nog wat warms drinken bij het stadskoffiehuis. Echt een aanrader.
Het was een leuke gezellige wandeling. Het weer was lekker koud. Lekker oliebol en na afloop een heerlijke glühwein.
